Including a city council member or manager on a visit can really be helpful, but definitely sharing the info from visit with city staff increases your credibility with the city, because you helped them solve a business owners issue

Agree with Deb. A visit we did in Norfolk which included a city council member and Mayor resulted in helping a local business expand that had been waiting on getting answers on items related to the expansion locally as well as at the State level. The visit prompoted quicker responses to allow for the business to continue with their project and stay within their ideal construction timeframe.
